Question 4

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Different media technologies are important in presenting the concepts, and keeping people drawn into the ideas of the filmmaking. So when constructing my site with the research and planning, I used a range of different ways for the people looking at this part of the project to consume it. I used a presentation website called prezi which is a smart way of presenting basic information. Prezi being a website that uses slides just like powerpoint but in a way that is less boring, the transitions and possibilities on the website allow they reader to be more engaged than that use of powerpoint.

I further used Youtube, being one of, if not the biggest video distribution service in the world. I added links for the person viewing the site and reading my analysis to experience for themselves just what I am writing about, so when I wrote about the Narrative, Genre and style of some of the films and tv shows that I analysed, there is a link to either the trailer of what it is or the full short film. It allows them to see just exactly what I mean when writing about them, I have chosen specific clips from one, Luther that gives the audience exactly what I am saying.

A website called Surveymonkey was also used during the research stages of the film, as the digital version of a questionnaire it allows me to find a digital block of people instead of just my peers. So if a production company were to see what I have don’t they can see I put the questionnaire on a global platform for a wide range of people to answer and see that my results are fair and correct. Further, During the pre-production stages I also used a professional scriptwriting programme, by using this it allows the project to look that bit more professional, so I connected a pdf to the website the is a copy of the script, on this is all the ideas that we came up with when writing the script.
