Question 2

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?

When we started Production we obviously knew that making the Ancillary tasks were a key aspect of the project as well, so we had to consider the quality of the image for the poster and our abilities in the Adobe programmes. Luckily enough in our group 2 of us also take photography as a A-Level and the other two in my group take Graphic Design as a subject so our knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator were shareable throughout the group. We had to make sure the effectiveness of both were up to the same high standard of our film.

When making the Poster it took a while to figure out the different aspects and fades, with also the text and colours to use. We decided to follow the colour scheme from our ident, with the bright yellowy orange title and the simplistic black and white for the rest of it. The image used really conveys how the synopsis of the story is told, and although after production having to move around some of the scenes changing how much of her being locked up for, is still effectively shows the clear connection between the film and the poster. Just the title alone is a fantastic was of connecting all of the products together and the film review, as well as the Logo that was used on all three as well.

The film review is another way to show our digital art skills while also effective connecting the other ancillary task to the main product. This one is easier to connect directly and effectively to the film a there are screenshots of the film on the film review. There are simplistic features in it that make it look professional, so after researching and looking at some of the popular film magazines we found a way to make it artist in the same way as connecting it well not showing off too much of the plot.
